Although the listing provides few glimpses of the home's interior, we dug up some interior shots on our own. It just so happens that their home was featured in the book, So Chic: Glamorous Lives, Stylish Spaces by Margaret Russell, editor in chief of Elle Decor magazine.
Check out the study above and the living room below:
We must admit we never particularly cared for the interior design of this home. We always thought it was a little too dark. Looks like they were trying for some sort of moorish/moroccan feel, which contributed to the overall darkness.
Nevertheless, we bet it's a very relaxing environment. There are lots of outdoor spaces like this to unwind:
If you want to see more photos of the outside, definitely check out the listing. The grounds are especially lush!
Love this house (interior and all the outdoor spaces)!
ReplyDeleteLove the house but I had no idea he was married. Have I been under a rock?
ReplyDeleteTina--He's always been sorta wonderfully low-key. You never really hear anything much about him and his personal life. Plus, we think his wife's career never really jumped off. So they never reached that "power celebrity couple" status, like Brangelina.
ReplyDeleteOn second-look, Anon and Tina, we really do like this house too!
ReplyDeleteI like this house, I am just $12 million short of the asking price. Oh Well
ReplyDeleteThat's okay Anon! We'll spot you the cash . . . as soon as we win the lottery.
ReplyDeleteI love this house. Very elegant, fairly masculine but still really sexy and comfortable. For me, knowing it's Ben Stiller's and Marsha Brady's (sorry, can't help thinking of her as anything but Marsha in the goofy remake movie) actually detracts from the sexiness of the house. Love Ben, but don't really think of him as a chic, sexy, mediterranean kind of guy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Anon. It grew on us. And you're right, it's hard to imagine Marsha, Marsha, Marsha and Ben in it. They seem so cheerful and fun-loving whereas this house seems so dark and serious.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't even show you the all-black kitchen. And neither did the listing agent!
Wow! The outdoor space looks very relaxing! And I love that carpet under the center table. It is seemed well maintained. I wonder how his carpet cleaner (Fort Myers) do it. Mom also loves to place a carpet outdoors, and when it comes to carpet cleaning (Ft. Myers) she uses soft mixtures to clean it in order not to damage the fabric.
ReplyDeleteI just wondering who bought this beautiful house. very lucky indeed.
